Hi,

My husband and I are in search of a new home. I think some of our criteria is really limiting us, and unfortunately we're now on a time crunch. Closing on our home at the end of September, plus baby on the way this winter.

What we really want is a larger lot (minimum 1 acre), budget up to $400k, out of Meck Co, good school district, and here's the kicker ... under 45 minute commute to uptown.

If you know of any nice neighborhoods with bigger lots, please give some suggestions. We've been eyeing a few things near Harrisburg and out past Mountain Island Lake. I would love to find something in Fort Mill, but not much inside our commute times. Same situation with Union Co. Love it out there, but traffic is horrendous

so hard to find something within our wish list.

Thanks!!!

If you're concerned about commuting cost and time, try to persuade yourselves that you don't really want to put the time and money into maintaining a 1 acre lot. It will open up more possibilities.

Rock Hill is the first thing that comes to mind. Gastonia is #2.
