I know many of you are like Traders Joe and are aware that one is coming to the charlotte area well now there will be 2 - the next is being planned for The Arbors-on Mallard Creek Church Road in the University area
Have shopped Trader Joe's in other states.Like the store.Excited to hear 2 are coming to Charlotte. When will they open?Where will they be located?Thanks.Blss52
I went to MD for the weekend. I decided to stop by TJ's since everyone here gave it a thumbs up. I actually liked it a lot. The food was sooo much cheaper than Whole Foods. I could find most of the basics that I needed. Now, I'm excited about TJ's coming to Charlotte.
Currently, there's 5 Whole Foods Markets in NC (Winston-Salem, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham & Raleigh) with 3 more in development (Cary, Charlotte & Charlotte-South Park). I got the info off their website.
Whole Foods is grossly overpriced in my opinion. TJ's offers better deals than most grocery stores, healthier options and lots of alternative foods. I highly recommend it!
We have both around here but I like Whole foods better. Food source is actually the msot overpriced with their prepared foods. I like Trader Joe's but Whole foods has the best produce, grains/nuts and oils. Trader's Joe's is prepackaged even for apples!
The fruits and vegetables were not prepackaged in the TJ's I visited. I don't know if some stores are different. That was my first visit. I purchased Granny Smith apples that I picked out myself.
