Can somebody give me the lowdown on the bug situation in Charlotte? I heard they are really bad and tons of cockroaches??

I'm sort of a wimp when it comes to bugs!!

Here in florida we have theese giant roaches called palmettos and they fly. The thought of them makes me cringe. What are the roaches like there?

Oh great! No more palmetto bugs were the number 3 reason for me leaving Florida. Please say it isn't so!

While there are bugs they are not that bad. No come out to the fields and see the mice and snakes

I don't know anybody who does Maybe once a year we get the yard treated for ants, that's all.

No just kiddin' there are Copperheads in the area. I honestly can't remember where I saw a snake that was not flat in the road.

Charlotte has MANY palmetto bugs. And people get offended when you call them roaches... I don't get it.

I have never seen a snake in Charlotte. I did see one hiking a trail about 60 miles from here.

I just had the pest control guy here today to treat my lawn. He found (& showed me) 6 fire ant mounds that I had no idea where there! YUCK!!! They're scheduled to come once every quarter to treat. If I need them back inbetween visits, they'll come back at no add'l charge. I also have the "Bug-in-the-wall" system. That's a yearly termite treatment.

Snakes....I've had 1 baby black snake at my back door since I moved in 2 mths ago.
