I am considering taking a position in Salisbury and I would live to get some feedback on the commute. This is a year long assignment, so at least it would only be for a limited time. However I am concerned that it could be fairly brutal despite going against traffic. I current live in the noda area, and I know just going up sugar creek to get on 85 is going to be a bit of a battle. I would greatly appreciate any advice on the actual commute time. It takes about 45 minutes without traffic and I'm I've been told it's about an hour during peak times but I'm afraid it may be even longer. Thanks in advance!
I think you have it about right. You should test drive other routes to know what your options are in case traffic is blocked. There are times the Interstate must be avoided. Your GPS can be a friend in this case. Or a good map. Anyone else at this work location looking for a ride along could be helpful also.
