I live 5+ miles away from PNC Ampitheatre, but I feel like tonight's concert (Luke Bryan) is being played in my backyard.....way too loud and I have a 5 yr old who now won't go to sleep. I honestly thought the noise was coming from a neighboring house because I could 'feel' it.

Is it the cloud cover that is preventing the noise from 'escaping' the way it normally does? I've lived here for 13 years and I don't recall it ever being this bad.

Did you call over there and ask them to turn it down?

The clouds can make the sounds travel further than usual on a cloudy night. I notice that often with low flying airplanes, sounds like they are landing right on the house.

Was this Amphitheater previously known by another name?

It was Blockbuster Pavilion for a while. I could hear NC Music Factory in NoDa when I lived there.

I think it was also Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for a bit after Blockbuster as well. I have fond memories of seeing Ray Charles in 1991.

If I was a big country music fan I think the "mega-ticket" deal is a great one for the lawn. It's something like 250 bucks for 10 shows.
