dusty - I have a 2001 Ford Focus Wagon. It seems to be about 1% of the book value of your car from what I can figure. Not as bad as I was lead to believe and you may re-coup that expense on lower car insurance. I'm originally from NJ with high car insurance rates so NC is an absolute bargain even with the car property tax thrown in. As long as you don't have a stable full of new Rolls-Royces and Ferraris you'll be fine!
