I have moved down from Philadelphia and love this area like I have never loved living somewhere before.
I am trying to convince my brother to move down.
He is a teacher does anyone know about Teacher job fairs and jobs in the area.
The best schools are Fort Mill and Rock Hill I have heard also any info on CMS.
Any help would be great.
Thank you

I'm not sure when the CMS job fair is, nor any in SC. Mooresville's was last week and Cabarrus County's in a Saturday in April. Their website should tell you.

I posted this a few months ago. The link has job fairs for several counties.

I was just on the CMS website and viewed "open positions". There were only a few teacher jobs open?

Are they waiting until the job fair or the summertime to post new teacher job positions for the fall?

Thank you.

Also, we will be out of town for the CMS job fair. What exactly goes on there? Is it just schools handing out information or do you actually apply for jobs there? If you miss the job fair, are you S.O.L?

Representation from all schools are there, and they do interviews and hire on the spot. I am sure there will still be vacancies in the fall, but the job fair is an excellent time to get in.

I am from Michigan, a teacher, and am also looking to relocate to NC. I am here right now looking around the CMS area since they do pay more from what I have found. I have stopped by a few schools and will be doing more of that today. The few people I talked to at the schools asked if I was coming down for the job fair, which is April 19th. From what I have heard, that's your best chance for meeting with principals and getting into a school that you might prefer. I am planning to make the trip back down here then. I went on all the school websites to find out more about them and found that helpful. They seem to have a lot of good schools in the area. I also talked to people while visiting here. That part is extremely important to me since I will be moving with children and need to also find them a good school to attend. Good luck. I really love it here and my kids, who really haven't been too excited about the possibility of relocating, have taken upon themselves to decide that we are moving here as soon as possible. (They don't want to leave & they are only 6 and 9.) lol I guess I better be finding a job soon!
