So what? Should we tear down all houses and replant woods?

Or, use some repellent that makes the plants, flowers, etc. unpleasant to the deer. They simply wander on into the woods and find other plants. A person can "appreciate the gift that mother nature has given you" is not a problem. Giving up one's hard earned garden would be sort of foolish since the alternative is so simple.

Don't know if it works, but heard if you go to a wilderness supply store and buy either Lion or Tiger manure, that will keep deer off your property.

I'd hate to be the one responsible for collecting it!

Our backyard is fenced and there is an Airedale in charge.
The front yard is wide open. On the plants and new trees I need to protect there is a "bird net" available at Ace Hardware. Cover the plant and secure a zip tie around the bottom. You can't see it unless you are really close. Works great.
Also I read somewhere, fishing line around the trees and plants. Haven't tried it yet

I've had success using Milogranite. It makes the lawn, plants, and tree look good and deer don't like the smell.

I shave Irish spring soap around them. Also hang some in a cheesecloth near the plants.

I also relieve myself (No 1, although No.2 might also work, hmm???) around the one's they seem to like the most. Easy to do where I live, no neighbors can see my yard. Strangely, my wife seems to avoid smelling or collecting the flowers. She must have seen me doing it.
