Would like some advise on Alexander Michaels. Is it upscale? If not what type of clientele and service is there? Is it recommedable?
Thanks.

Great cold beer! Known more as an neighborhood hangout than an upscale resturant....

Definitely neighborhood hangout, but a very cool place to check out for a more casual evening. It's in an old house and they still use the original wooden refrigeration unit behind the bar. Food is good, too, but it's not what I'd call upscale.

+3 neighborhood hangout.
When home from college on the weekends many of us would meet there.

Not an upscale restaurant...but a GREAT 4th Ward hangout for locals. Right around the corner though is the "McNinch House"...quite Upscale & not cheap...located on N. Church St. right beside the fire station near 8th or 9th St. Very good food!

Definately a neighborhood joint but you will find most folks in thier 'bankers clothes" after work. Lot of people hit this place up right after work so people maybe more dressed up than most neighborhood joints, but the atmosphere is definately very casual. I wouldn't feel out of place in shorts or suit.

The food is quite excellent but the dinner wait can be a beyotch on a Fridays.
