We bought a house 6 months ago in Union County and we will be closing on it in the next few weeks. My husband has had a difficult time finding a job. We are relocating from FL. He is a project manager for an electrical contractor and is looking for a similar position. He has applied to many on Careerbuilder and Monster.com, but hardly gets any responses. Is it because we aren't there yet? His resume is impressive, so I don't see why he would be overlooked. Is using a recruiter or a headhunter a good idea? I know nothing about this and would deeply appreciate any leads anyone can give us or suggestions to get some interviews. We can't move up there unless he has a job first.

Please don't waste any more time of Monster! Find a real head hunter here right away. Try the Ajilon Consulting group for starters. Good luck!

Just pick up a regular job or two until you can find excatly what you are looking for. At least it will pay the bills.

What about Mass Electric? I don't know if that's exactly what he's looking for but they have a project in Charlotte. I believe it's working on the Light Rail. Is that something he could do? It could be a temporary job until he finds what he's looking for.
