Well, I hardly think crime is unique to Charlotte or doesn't exist in NY. I suspect if you started a thread in the NY forum called "victims of NY crime: anyone had cops find the thieves?" you would hear from a person or two who has been a victim of crime in NY.

(side note re: ny crime: a former roommate of mine had his car stolen in nyc. same guy later stole a car in ny. maybe it just evens out there? haha.)

We are all in our various 'hoods . . . I know many of our members . . . we are in towns and burbs all over the metro . . . and several of us are uptown . . . a few in SC . . . and some surrounding counties, as well.

And we are in nice 'hoods. The thing is - the thugs have figured out that our hoods are nice and so they come to us . . . we don't have to go to them to get ripped off.
