We have tons of children's books (ages 6 months - 6 years) that we no longer need. It would be a shame to throw them away.
Any ideas where they can be put to good use?
TIA

Do the public libraries accept book donations? We donated a bunch of books to the public library in Virginia before we moved down.

I am sure that a local daycare or church weekday school would be happy to have a donation.

there's the book lady where you can sell them to her and I think she gives you store credit to get more books. (have heard about her but not used her)

Donate them to a local elementary school or preschool! They can never have enough books!

Wow, stmaarten, you got some great ideas! I just wanted to let you know, though, that the public library does accept donations, and it's tax deductible.

Book Buyers in plaza midwood. If they're in good condition they'll take them and I think either give you money or store credit. Then you can pretty much trade your old books for new books. BTW their books are always in excellent condition for being used.

I would love to give them to the library, but I was concernd that they needed to be in "almost new" condition.
Thanks!
