Hello All,
I need help, 2 items please, Does anyone know of a nice golf community that a single professional guy, 38, can buy in and enjoy? Max price $375k
Friends said Waxhaw was very nice? I will be working downtown Charlotte so do not want to be too far away from town, 20 min drive?
Thanks

Finding a golf course home within 20 minutes of downtown will be tough if you're not willing to spend 3/4 million. In that price range within about a 40 minute commute, you could try some of the communities in the Mint Hill area - Shannamara or Olde Sycamore. Emerald Lake is in that area, too, but I don't know the price range. If you are comfortable with 40-50 minutes (depending on traffic) try Raintree in South Charlotte. In the Northwest you could try Highland Creek or Skybrook. Maybe someone more familiar with that area could comment on the commute time from those communities.

Good luck!

Emerald Lake is over that range now of ours bought at 380K on the course but that was a cash sale no realtor. I live in south Charlotte and it only takes me about 30 minutes in to uptown ao raintree isn't so bad. Also tehy ahve some older COndos on the course that are a lot less then that price and all residents get the intialtion fee waived when they move in to the community. If you have any other golf community question don't hestiate to email me adn I will answer anything you want.

On this side of town there are listings in Shannamara, Olde Sycamore, and actually there's one listing in Emerald Lake.

Raintree is probably the closest to uptown.

We relocated from NY in 1998 -- let me know if I can assist in any way.
