Anyone else lose any annuals thinking that the last few weeks of 80 degree weather would last? All my cannas were coming up and froze, bummer.. We were able to save some stuff though..
We had some visitors from MA this weekend and for the last month we've been raving about how nice it's been and how the kids have been swimming and we've been cooking out and blah blah blah. They show up, cold moves in, very special.. As soon as they leave it's supposed to get back into the 70's figures.. Still warmer than MA though..

Here in NY (upstate), on Easter Sunday, it's 35 degrees....on Christmas day? It was 51 degrees.......I think our seasons are shifting and winter is starting in January and ending in April .White Christmas? Can;t remember when there was substantial snow on the ground on Christmas for years......

I hear you. I was down this weekend and it was a bit chilly. If you hung out in the sun it was not bad though. I was still happy. I got back home yesterday and later that night was fighting a fire while it was snowing so trust me it could have been worse. I was hoping I would have been able to leave the thermostats off in the house but I left the heat on downstairs. Real low but still had to leave it on just in case it dropped too low.
I am counting down my last days here in NY!
