We are looking to move from NJ to NC. I am a legal assistant and need to stay near larger towns & cities for work. My better half is in the medical field so also need to stay near hospitals. We have 2 kids (2 & 10) so schools are important. Another big thing is we want enough land for 2 horses and where it is zoned as such. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Union County has quite a few horse farms and properties. Check out Marvin, Weddington & Waxhaw. You may also look into Fort Mill, SC.

It really depends on where you are going to be working. Hospitals are spread all over the region, and if you live in Union County and work in a hospital in the University area it will be quite a drive. I'm guessing that you don't have jobs here yet since you didn't mention specific hospitals, so it might be a good idea to wait on a permanent place until you have jobs and can make an informed decision based on relative locations.
