You know, I gotta say, as a city girl, the sounds of the birds chirping is music to my ears. Just last week, I wrote an e-mail to a friend that lives in Staffordshire, England how I felt like I was in a spa or something being gently awakened by the sounds of the birds and the cool breezes flowing through the window....

^^^^^It is NOT sweet chirping...it's a loud annoying squawk that sounds like a person screaming, over and over and over.....

Could it be a catbird?

Here are the calls of catbirds . . . check out the "mew" call. Wonder if that is it?

Gray Catbird, Sounds, All About Birds - Cornell Lab of Ornithology

Is there an artificial source of light near where this bird is nesting? Like a street lamp?

it's not always in the same place and it's not every night. Sometimes I hear it far away and sometimes it's in my yard. You would not believe how friggin loud it is tho with the windows open. I heard someone screaming at it to shut up the other night at like 2am. LOL.

I HAVE had the misfortune of having one hang around many years ago . . . Y'all are gonna have to shut the windows and turn on the A/C!!!

Now, Loves. You and hubby are such lovebirds . . . y'all don't even notice what is squawking outside. Don't try to convince us that's a white machine you go to sleep by. We already know it's a LOVE MACHINE!!!!

Y'all are listening to Barry White, not "sounds of the ocean."
