OK. For you slung haters, heres some info you will be amazed at. Slugs are all a bunch of boozer hounds. This works, I swear it. Take a empty tuna can, cat food, what ever, about 2 inches high. Pour some beer in it about 1/2 way up. Bury it about half way in the ground.
Check in one or two days and you will see how well it works.. They will be dead in the can.

They say that slugs hate copper. I believe it kind of shocks them or something. I have laid copper sheeting (you buy it at Lowes) around my plantings and have definitely seen an improvement. I've tried the beer method in the past and it does work, I just hated seeing all those dead slugs in the morning. Good luck

I have the same problem. We have caught a few raccoons in a trap and even a possum. Something is still eating the strawberries and I haven't had any yet!!! It might be squirrels. I have two cats and you would think that they help but they are soooooooooo lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have tons of deer here. They are eating our peaches and apples from the trees. My husband made a ghost chili spray and it seem to work. Fingers crossed.

^ OK, so once you've sprayed the fruit with ghost chili, maybe it deters the pests, but can you still eat it?

Will let you know when they grow to full size. The herbs were fine after the rains plus rinsing in the sink.
