That was quite a job! Are you pleased with your carpet cleaner?

We enjoyed Harry Potter. Hope you have a good evening!

Default Terrific weather for a weekend!

Harvested herbs ... basil, rosemary, thyme, marjoram. Baked blueberry muffins and tomato tart. Cut flowers for bouquets for the house. Nothing fancy, but they're pretty! Isn't this weather grrreat!?

Okay, here's the first batch of ChinaCubs' shots. Every shot had some dead space cropped (some just a little, others a lot). Contrast and light were touched up, color punched up in a couple, a few were tilted a few degrees left or right and cropped to level them out. I took out a speck of dust that gathered on the lens in one shot. All basic stuff. Uploaded and resized via photobucket for yyyyyourrrrrrrrrr viewing enjoyment.

ok: I will narrate:

first two shots are of a lake that was created by the earthquake a year ago. All the visible dirt parts on the mountains are bits that fell off during the earthquake, taking anything that happened to be there (people, villages, etc) with it.

shot 3 is the entrance to the hotel that we stayed at at the base of the Great Wall

shot 4, we are back at the earthquake area; this is rebuilding. note the blue tents, these have been people's houses for the last year. Just out of shot is where a school collapsed, killing all of the children in it.

shots 5 & 6...Great Wall again. This is why it is so massive that it can be seen from outer space.

thanks to Brian for making these nice!!! (and posting them, too)

These are all Great Wall shots. The first one was the train that you needed to take to get to another 1/4 of the way...there was hiking to be done to go up further.
