These are the 3 towns I've narrowed my search down too. I was wondering about the prices of duplexes, townhouses and apartments, the commute to Charlotte, and population. I will also be living by myself, and hoping for a smaller safer town to move to so low crime rate, and where everybody knows everybody would be nice too. Any help at all, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

I can help you with Lincolnton.
First off, it's a beautiful town. I wouldn't buy there for all the tea in China.
I looked at 3 towns. Kings Mountain, Cherryville, & Lincolnton. I went to Lincolnton once. That was all it took. The people there don't like outsiders. I got turned around & stopped at a convenience store to get directions. I only noticed a woman working there & approached her. She tried her best to ignore me, but I asked for directions, anyway. She pointed at a man who was on the other side of the store, who I had missed, & said "Ask him." The man was from Shelby. He was happy to give me directions.
Don't waste your time in Lincolnton. There are a couple of posters on here who live
near Lincolnton. They might be able to help you.
