Got my H1N1 vaccine today at the Billingsley Dept of Health location, and was very impressed with the operation. Made the appointment, printed consent forms ahead of time, showed up and found a separate entrance for the vaccines. 4 ppl processing paperwork, then get a number, wait 5 minutes or less, and back to the room where there were quite a few people giving the shots/sprays who were knowledgeable and friendly.
Know that there were delays in getting the vaccines out, but that's not the fault of the states. Was really a quick and painless trip. Believe that there are now plenty of vaccines to go around for those who are interested.

This is good to know. Thanks
My doctor cant never get any in and I prefer his nusre to administer so they would have actual medical report what has been done.
I been avoiding the health dept because I was afraid of long lines and I can only deal for a little bit with the kind of people are there. I know Ill bring hand sanitizer spray I dont want the germs that are there
What is the problem with the health department? As I said, they have a separate area just for administering the H1N1 vaccines...it is a different entrance, waiting area and vaccination area from anything else in the building. You also get a vaccination record that you can keep...
The H1N1 scare has been way overblown by the media. Truth of the matter is that H1N1 deaths are very rare and stain is very mild. H1N1 deaths totals are dwarfed by the standard flu strains.
The vaccine is only necessary for those with chronic health problems and weak immune systems.
