We recently retired and the Lord guided us to move to the Chattanooga area. We are renting while searching for 10-20 acres of land. The ideal property would be in a small town near a Railroad Museum or with a RR theme.
We will build our home and also a scale model RR. Therefore, we are looking for rolling land with trees on which to build.
We are currently looking near Etowah, Cowan, and Bell Buckle. We would like to stay in TN, but would not rule out GA, AL, or NC.
Thank You.

Cookeville has a railroad museum in its old downtown area. You can find rolling land with trees on it for sale in the Cookeville area. The city of Cookeville can provide you with all of the goods and services you could ever need, including a hospital. I hope this helps.

ChooChoo there is actually a REAL old depot for sale in Rossville Ga. It hardly resembles one (except the fancy eaves and some of the layout inside) and the track is now paved over but I thought I would toss that one in. Bell Buckle is EXACTLY what I thought when I read your post though. Beautiful small town area. Another thought is Summerville Ga. Our local rail trail excursion ends there @ a beautiful park and depot. See Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum - chattanooga, TN. Dayton Tn has a cute depot downtown as well and land there is still reasonably cheap. Keep us updated as I am sure one or two of us would love to visit!
