Hello, we recently bought a home in Chattanooga and would like to do some renovations. Not really fond of the big box stores - Home Depot - Lowes.... etc... looking for places to find tile for backsplash and stones to build a patio and gardens. Any ideas of places that are off the beaten path, discounts...

Southeastern Salvage isn't technically a "big box" store, but they do have lots of locations.
Lots and lots of flooring places down in Dalton. I don't have any names off the top of my head, but lots of "off the beaten path" type locations. Several places specialize only in different types of tile and stone.
