swim, like as in a lake or swimming hole. I know there are swimming areas north of the city, are there any other good beaches or swimming holes outside of town? Thanks.

Try the North Chickamauga Pocket Wilderness. COLD COLD COLD water but alot of fun!

North Chickamauga Creek Pocket Wilderness

We also love Chester Frost Nice sandy beaches, restrooms and a children's playground.

Also, Nickajack is a nice day trip. The beach has not been maintained like Chester Frost but you can fish and walk a nice trail for a sunset bat viewing. Pick up some fireworks on your way out.

Has anyone been to the Nickajack bat cave?

Totally agree with jkme. That river is beautiful with a ton of little holes to swim in. We went hiking there and can't wait to go back to swim. It's a beautiful place to hike as well.

There is also a fantastic hole if you take the trail from Signal Point to Edwards Point. Halfway (about 1 mile) there is a deep hole with an old dam (water flows over). There is a rope swing etc., I think a lot of people also camp right there, but it a great swimming spot as well.

Wonderful. Thanks, potential neighbors. You're the only one I couldn't rep, dasmarian, as I must spread it around. Sorry.
