From what I know, one of the largest Chevy dealers here in the DC area (Criswell Chevrolet) had about 12 Caprices in stock. I'm not sure if all of them have been sold, but the dealers didn't really care about what GM told them to do with them. It was originally sold for dectectives and other police forces.
Hardly ugly when properly dressed. My brother drove one in the UAE recently. He is looking to a purchase one here in the USA.
Hard to find a competitor at $30,000 for a 2012 model.
One of them was for sale at the local dealer across the street from my office. It was one of them from the dealership in the article (the only ones sold to the public). Kind of bland, but pretty rapid with a lot of aftermarket support. COuld be a hell of a sleeper.
Having some rare, odd-looking car is cool. Having a car that looks very normal but is super rare is very cool, IMO.
