I consider myself very knowledgeable about Tahoes. A fully loaded 2009 LTZ (highest) Tahoe will be based at 48-54. You will pay around 39-45 for one of these, depending on advanced options and 4wd.
I own the LT2 Z71 4x4 which you can get for around 40k.
The LT and LS models are nice, but not as optioned out.
For fun I just optioned out an '09 Tahoe LTZ and the grand total MSRP came to $63,000+ dollars!! My '07 GMC Yukon Denali was optioned out and the MSRP was $55,000!! Something is seriously wrong when the MSRP on a Chevy (except Corvette) is in the $60,000+ RANGE!! Wow!

LTZ isn't the highest, White Diamond 4X4 is the top trim. Those are about $57K-$58K.
You know I had a freind who was working with some guys form Saudi in this country. They all bought cars to use when they were here and never blinked a eye. One even wanted to give one to him when they left but of course it was against compamny rules. Its was even amusing in that one had palns to a house and wanted him to go oer it to see if it had all the modern convenience of a american home. He enjoyed their visit and the meals they bought when conducting business. So this isn;t so strange except to us.
Good luck, post up a photo of your new ride if you buy one. As hot as it gets there, I would think about a light color, these do look "cool" in black but would be really hot.
