Hello!
I may be relocating for a job that will be located in Vernon Hills. I am not familiar with the area at all and need someone to recommend a nice apartment complex or condo to rent in the area. I'll also consider close citied to VH but have no idea what those would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!!!

I grew up in Vernon Hills. Surrounding towns include Libertyville, Mundelein, Lincolnshire, Buffalo Grove, Lake Forest. It's a very suburban feeling area--Hawthorn Mall and all the big-box shopping you could want are really the anchor of Vernon Hills; there's also quite a few corporate office complexes near the high school. If you're fine with the suburban environment, I'd stick close to work--60 (Townline Rd) and 21 (Milwaukee Ave) get very congested. The area is pretty much upper-middle class, so safety is not really a concern in your apt search.

Unlike many job centers you can probably afford to live in town. Though if you like the night life you probably want to live in Chicago. Not a good commute, but many do it.

I would chose Buffalo Grove, close to everything, depending on the time of day, commute might be 20 minutes or MUCH Longer,

Do you have any suggestions as far as apartment complexes? Not a lot of properties come up when I do a search and I am looking for something newer or at least built in the last 10 years or recently remodeled. Unfortunately i have to do all this via internet search b/c I don't have the time.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Mundelein might fit your search. Some apartments are literally across the street from Vernon Hills and prices tend to be cheaper....

For apartments, try Amli at Museum Gardens. It is one of the cleanest and most well maintained apartment communities around. A bit expensive, but worth it. Hawthorne mall is right across the street.
