No. Most of us would just grill it on the deck or patio. There was one in Chicago back 20 years ago, not sure if it's still there. It was off of Ontario just west of Orleans.

There are some Weber Grill restaurants, one in Schaumburg, where you can watch thenm grill the food. Same for Japanese steak houses where they grill the food right in front of you. Perhaps there is a Korean BBQ place in the burbs that would let you grill table side?

I see no incentive or reason to go out for a $teak, then cook it yourself. Do they really have such a place? What the insurance must be!
It reminds me of a Seinfeld episode, Kramers restaurant idea of making/baking your own pizza.
WHY?

Well, I know for sure about Gyu-Kaku. It is in Streeterville. It is Japanese cuisine, but Korean BBQ style dining. They bring out raw meat and vegetables (and even dessert!) and fire up a grill that is installed right in the middle of the table, flush with the tabletop. Steaks? No...but definitely chunks of high-quality meats or various types and preparation. No chef at the table, just a server to give you a few tips. You are given some tongs/forks and are expected to do the rest.
