Default Schools good for kids with learning disabilities?

We'll be moving to Chicago and are looking at Wilmette, partly because it is near two private schools for kids with learning disabilities (Cove School and Hyde Park Day School). We are hoping our daughter will be able to transition back to public school in a year or two - she just has problems with reading, writing and spelling. Does anyone know if Wilmette has good programs for smart kids with learning disabilities? Or do you know of other suburbs that are known for having good programs? On an earlier thread someone mentioned Naperville, but we want a half hour or less train ride to downtown Chicago.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks!
