I just moved to oak brook, IL and looking for apartment communities. I have a 5 year old son who will go to kindergarten so my main criteria is good school and not too far from oak brook (in the range of 6-7 miles). I have a budget of 1300-1400 per month. I heard Hinsdale, elm hurst and downers grove schools are good. But I am not able to find any good apartment community in these area. the ones I found are not so good. I shorlisted Brookhill apartments in westmont but came to know school for this community is CE Miller which is not good but couldn't find any apartment reference for JT Manning. I'll appreciate if any one can provide me name of apartment communities coming under a good elementry school OR any pointers to websites that I should look to get names of apartment communities coming under a good school.

Some of the schools I shortlisted are
Gower West Elementary school, willowbrook
Prospect Elementary school, Clarendon hills
Elm elementary school, Burr Ridge
Plesant Lane elementery school, Lombard
Park View elementry school, Lombard
WM Hammerschmidt Elementary School, Lomard
Field Elementary School, elmhurst
Hawthorne elementary school, elmhurst
Jackson elementary school, elmhurst
Jefferson elementary school, elmhurst
Stevenson Elementry School, Lombard (Couldn't find any test report for this school, any info on this school)

Thanks in advance.

Check into Wheaton, too. It might be a little over your mileage limit, but Wheaton's schools and very good.
