Did you feel it? Around 4:00 AM. I wonder how strong it was. I don't see anything official on the USGS page yet.

Update:
It's now up on USGS's page:
MAP 4.3 2010/02/10 09:59:34 41.978 -88.597 5.0 6 km ( 4 mi) WNW of Virgil, IL

Yup, we felt it. Kind of surprising. I thought we left those behind us in California.

WGN is reporting that it's been reduced to a 3.9 centered near Gilberts. It's weird I felt/heard a loud BOOM and that's it.

we certainly felt it! the house shook, there was noise...all 3 of us had our feet hitting the floor at the same time! and that is unusual as our 15 yo son never hears anything!!! at first we thought maybe a tree fell on the house as we have large trees. then, we thought maybe there was a plane crash nearby..since a couple weeks ago there was a plane crash in our area. we went out and walked all around the outside of the house to make sure nothing hit it. the only explanation left was earthquake.

Default earthquake

Last year we had a smilar earthquake, I think it was a different fault line and maybe a little smaller but I remeber it last year.

I didn't feel the one last night, my sister said she did. I think they origionally said it was 4.3 but turned out it was only like 3.8.

Supposedly thats one of the largest fault lines in the country, just not very active. I was reading something earlier today about how in 1811 or 1812 the biggest earthquake in the us happenned on this one. Caused the mississippi to flow backwards and a lot of devastation.
