It's December 19th and I opened the door to let the cat in and a FLY flew in too! What is going on with our weather??!

I'm not officially in Chicago, but I sure was surprised to see one in December after it snowed and the weather was cold enough that the snow stayed for 2 days.

Two things. One you can get them in winter if you open packages from warmer locations that have bugs in them.

It also doesn't take much heat or time to breed thoose things. If that fly found a warmer spot(say somewhere about 60F) and just came outdoors in time to follow kitty.
