Hard to believe. I'm here now and was just all over Michigan Ave. and surrounding streets with my phone hanging off my hip and had no trouble. The place is hopping! Maybe they looked like easy marks? I'm here for the next week so I'll let you know if I see anything out of the ordinary.

Agreed. All these "mob"-type stories are unbelievable. I don't venture downtown too often but when I'm there, these large groups of teens never seem to be around.

Was the phone "hanging off her hip" or just in her back pocket? I bet the vast majority of men keep their phones in their pants pocket. I think people should get one of those hidden fabric deals you put over your shoulder under your clothes. I phone in one pocket, gun in the other. Wouldn't some of these robbers get a surprise if they got shot up?
