The first poll out shows things to be quite close.

Even though I prefer Rahm over Chuy, I'm glad Rahm has to sweat a bit. I wish Daley had been held to the fire more often during his decades in office.

This morning, Rahm was shaking hands at the Belmont blue line station - I've been using the station for the past decade and hadn't met a politician there before. Maybe volunteers handing out flyers, but that's pretty much it.

Also, Rahm will have to take the debates seriously and Chuy can't get away with empty populist promises any longer. It'll be interesting to see each candidate lay out specifics of how they intend to fix the city's finances and keep the economy growing.

The election is still Rahm's to lose. The people who would vote for a homeless guy's shoe over Rahm are already factored in.

Fear-mongering. Yawn.

ETA

Also interesting how conservatives are backing Rahm. NOT.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I agree that Rahm will need to actually put in effort to win, as opposed to going through the motions like he seemed to do the first go-around.

I love how the Obama curse lives on. Everytime Obama shows up to campaign for someone they lose, even on his home turf now.

You don't understand that the election isn't over yet and that Rahm will most likely win. That's weird.
