Look in Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park for apartments. The Best place to find rental listings in the area is the neighborhood newspaper, The Beverly Review, and the dart board at Calabria Imports. Calabria is located on the 1900 block of 103rd st. They sell the Review there as well.

Berwyn and Brookfield are nowhere near St. Xaiver, they are not even in the south subrbs. The Daily Southtown is the biggest local paper. Oak Lawn will have the largest selection of apartments and it's right down the street from St. Xaiver.

Mount Greenwood or Beverly will put you really close (it's in Mount Greenwood I believe), but you'll probably want to have a car to get around for leisure.

What makes an old thread like this pop up into someone's timeline? I doubt if ProgMichael was searching for "Saint Xavier University." How does this happen?

I've had this happen to me a few times where an old thread pops up as new on the message index. One of the mods claimed one time they were merging threads, but a few of them were not. I honestly think the forum has a defect which causes this to happen once in a blue moon.

I would bet you're right about this being a bug in the forum software.

Well, my degree is in Computer Science and it's what I do for a living. I know a defect when I see one - though yes I do think sometimes it is a merge, but in this case - doesn't look like it.
