I wish my power went out or at least the lights flickered, which sadly it did not.:-(

I think lightning hit a tree on my block. I used to like storms until that big one last August tore part of my roof off and left me without power for four days. I think Buena Park lost about 25% of its trees!

I do love a good thunderstorm, but Lookout your experience sounds super scary! Yikes!!

I had a (very) near miss with a tornado as a kid- destroyed houses about a mile away. Hope that's as close as I ever get to one!

I created a weather thread for this type of thing.

I didnt hear crap last night. Either I was out cold or the storm missed the western burbs.

I'm in Westmont and we got some decent (albeit short) thunderstorms. It was early-ish too, about 9.

I heard big ol thunder last week now that I think about it. GIANT claps of thunder around 1 am. I remember because it woke my son up and he came in and slept on the floor of our bedroom.
