I grew up in Rogers Park (Farwell and Wolcott). There are apartments around there and only 2 blocks to train. Some areas around there are block by block. I know most between the train and Ridge have a lot of houses so they are pretty okay. We were just there this weekend to take a nostalgic trip by the old haunts. We walked up and back to St Jerome (Lunt and Paulina). It was all good.

Rogers Park can still get a little live in some parts - especially around Howard - but it's not too bad. Just be aware of what's around you like you would anywhere else.
