If anyone flies into Chicago in the next 2 weeks. Please let me know if they try pulling any games at the airport. I will be staying in Will County when I visit there in a few weeks from Texas . According to articles, they wont even really be enforcing it.....

Well if Mayor Lightweight and the Dems defund and disband the police they won't have anyone to enforce it or chase people off the lakefront.

Don't worry about being arrested. Odds are when there aren't any cops around you'll just get assaulted instead by the only people that are truly free in the city, the thugs.

jmgg, hence another reason why martial arts lessons are beneficial. Every little but counts, I claim, when we are discussing self-defense.

jmgg, even a 7th Degree Black Belt cannot stop a bullet. But martial arts training may help with awareness, balance, release from grab techniques, defense against hand and foot techniques, pressure points, and developing of the muscles and body parts to be stronger in one's own striking and kicking techniques. As I said, every little bit counts.

Looking at the 2 experiences I had of someone getting right in my face (Lincoln Square and Howard Street Red Line platform), perhaps a combination of calmly speaking with common sense as well as the confidence that may exude from the body, all of the above is not necessary to have to use. BUT, it is good to be trained just in case!

Did you ever hear the Woody Allen sketch about being mugged ?

It seems that he was walking home at night and a guy jumped out of the bushes and demanded his wallet, so he gave it to him rather than get hurt.
A few weeks later the same guy did the same thing and Woody gave up his wallet again.
He decided to take martial arts lessons so he'd be prepared the next time the guy tried to rob him.
So he's walking home at night and just waiting for the guy to try something and he'd give him the beating of his life when he tried to grab him.

As he's getting close to home the guy steps out of the bushes 10 feet away with a gun and says "throw your wallet over here" !

Add Amtrak & Chicago Union Station to the list. Between O'Hare, Midway, CUS, thousands of passengers per day. Doubt if there are enough hotel rooms nearby to put folks for the 14 days.

Im just going to fly there. If they give me issues. I will leave.

Pretty simple. Only reason I will be in Chicago will be to fly there. Their jurisdiction goes no further then Chicago.
