Yes. Being "woke" is really akin to being an asleep at the wheel, media-fed, non-thinking, victim.

Each one trying to out victim the next. America was built on polar opposite values to this.

I would like to send some of these "woke" people out of this country so they can have a look around at these so-called socialist utopias.

They might be startled to find out that we are the LEAST racist country on earth. That the "rich" they complain about here also exist in these other countries. The difference is over there the rich are born rich and are the political class.

With VERY fictional tax rules! But point taken - and spot on.

Oh man, don't get me started how annoying the pro-graduated tax ads are. Even to the point that UGH, I have to see those damn ads before whatever I'm watching on Youtube and Hulu, for example.

Sorry, but I don't trust IL to do a graduated tax well. Also, why is it that only 10% of revenues from this(if it passes) will go to pensions? And that there wasn't reforms to pensions tied, to this amendment? Also in every other state with a graduated tax(if people REALLY research this carefully, and how it's worked in other states that have this system), that retirement income IS unfortunately taxed. Sadly if this passes, I don't think it'll be long before IL lawmakers change the rules to tax retirement income.

It did make me pretty happy, that I recently saw an editorial that Daily Herald came out against this idea. Sorry Pritzker, but I will be voting no on this idea.

To be honest, Truthfully, I really don’t have any idea if this will be good or bad. What ever happens happens. Trump got elected and I was kinda happy but he really hasn’t done anything good. I had no idea he was going to be this nasty and then the GOP covers up for him. At the moment, I will pay more taxes and vote Democrat. I could care less about money.

How about a split ticket? If you feel that way it makes total sense to vote democrat at the federal level and republican at the state level.

You mean like now with the Congress? I thought that there would be more of checks and balances but it’s been all one sided dictatorship. Mainly because Republicans are going along with it. I am a businessman and I have all the reasons to vote Republican as I pay taxes like hell unlike the president but I just can’t vote for him. I am not that smart, I know but I can’t apologize for having been raised semi normal. My apologies to the republicans on this board.

I know a lot of businesses owners and politicians claiming they’re Democrat But they probably vote republican. I am not one of those. I look forward to not voting again.

We've had Republicans be the nice guy (McCain Romney) and they came in last. I like that Trump aggressively fights back but he overdoes it and also says a lot of dopey things. Still I want someone to push back hard on the Dems less they mess up the whole country like they did Illinois, California, New Jersey, Coneticut...

None of that stuff bothers me. I like that he will stab you in the front. Shoots straight, amazing. Do the right thing? Absolutely not, the blatant lies and cover ups kills me. You can see him coming. Mitt never came off as a nice guy to me. I liked him Just because he was a fellow republican and for lower taxes. Don’t be fooled, he’s got ice in his veins and knives on his elbows.

Cronies are happy you're posting that.

More money for cronies is the usual result of Illinois tax hikes.
