Hey, so I just got a chicago card plus, and I'm trying to figure out some stuff about it.

I'm on pay per use for now.

1. How do transfers work? do I automatically get the transfer rate if I take another bus/train within the 2 hour window?

2. How do I check the balance on the card? I logged into the website and it still says I have what I started with ($22)... I got it a couple days ago and since then I've used it like 6 times, so that can't be right?

Thanks

Yes, you'll automatically get the transfer rate if you use it within the transfer window.

Your card plus account is supposed to keep a real-time running balance. Something's not right.

I've used a Chicago Card Plus for a couple years now and I've found that, when checking online, there's often a one-day lag time before deductions are recorded.

Arrow Account balance

I use the same card...

I rarely check the balance, but when I do, it is usually a day (ish) behind...

Also, you can often "check your balance" or "transfer status" at the train stations. Check with an attendant in the booth and he/she can show you the machine/scanner. (It's kind of like the price scanner at Target...)

Hope you have the info you need...

Cheers,
-TM
