And they pull it off again!

Phenomenal performance by Danks and the Chicago White Sox!

Rents are going up on the south side....

Well, even though I'm talking to myself here, the Sox gave it a good run. At least we won one game!

Typical answer. Do you like how the fans booed them tonight after the game?

I love when Sox fans "dish it out", but cant take it back.

Im not a sox fan. I didnt dish anything out. It is not a choke when you lose to a better team w/ better players.

Nice guesswork - but you don't know what you are talking about. The fans booed the Rays celebration and then cheered for the White Sox to come out of the dugout after the Rays celebration died down. Although the players who were already in the dugout or down the tunnel to the clubhouse didn't come out, the fans cheered Jenks as he was coming in from the bullpen, and he tossed his hat into the crowd in appreciation.

Yea, I dont understand how you could possibly categorize this as a "choke". We were picked to finish 3rd/4th in the division. The fact that we won the division and were able to stave off a charging Twins was honestly about all most Sox fans I know wanted. The playoffs were icing on the cake, but the team did not have the makeup to go deep. It would have been nice if we could have advanced, but as everyone has said..the Rays are clearly the superior team and deserved to play on. I'm happy with what we were able to accomplish, and hopefully Kenny Williams can make the moves in the off season to bring this club to the next level. We rely way too much on the longball..which is fine, because we do play in the Cell which is probably one of the most HR friendly park in the league. But the Rays exemplified everything that the Sox were able to do well in '05..timely hitting, speed, and good pitching. Comparatively, we looked like the sluggish underdog, which we were.

The Cubs on the other hand are the team with the massive payroll, 97 regular season wins, expert predictions that they would go to the WS, and they got swept out of the first round of the playoffs. So yes, in that case they DID choke.
