Now first let me say that I am not trying to make people upset, or bash Chicago. I like Chicago. But I think its interesting to hear the small things that get on people's nerves about their cities. Even people who love Chicago can't love every single thing about it, so I don't think there is any harm in putting these thoughts into a thread and letting people vent. And lets not waste time arguing when someone says they don't like something and you think that thing is great. Ok I think that covers it. Thanks for your replies in advance, and again I am not trying to start crap with everyone.

Alot of the apt's there have very shotty construction in terms of the walls being 'paper thin' and being able to hear people above and below you (especially in those 4 plus 1's buildings). I expect that in new construction apt's (junk is all they make today), but older buildings should be a little more soundproof than the ones that I've been into in Chicago. Another thing, alot of renters there don't have respect for their neighbors as far as 'carrying on' to the wee hours in the morning. Or blasting music during the day, etc. And nobody ever says anything there which is really surprising. I get real rageful when it comes to that kind of stuff. I'm not saying I'd be that way on a holiday weekend or something, but on a regular Tuesday night?

dog crap. Everywhere. Strangely I have never seen an owner actually leave their dog crap. I have only left dog crap exactly one time. It was a very special circumstance.

There isn't much I don't like except Cubs fans however it's been fun making fun of them and their 101 yr drought of a World Series.

Don't know what a Jasper is? Milwaukee is a lot of different than Wisco.

I've gone an kicked (literally) on their doors. Believe me, I've done everything you can think of. There's a lack of respect among alot of renters anywhere you live, but to me, Chicago is worse than any other city I've been.

I agree with this. You can't just cover it up with snow. All that snow has to melt at some point, and the dog crap isn't just going to melt as well...
