Anyone has any take on 2530 N Ashland?
West Lincoln Park? Saw some new constructions-The Catalina, starting at 480k for a 2/2, nice place, worth the price? not much to do there?

I just can't see paying the better part of half a mil to live right on Ashland Avenue. And yeah, that immediate area is a bit of a nightlife desert, but it's not too far away from some nightlife being only a few blocks from DePaul and all. Plus you're only a 5-block walk/bikeride/whatever from the Lincoln Avenue corridor.
As for the immediate area, there's some smarmy Euro-bar (and not like a wannabe Euro-cosmopolitan bar, more like "Eastern European immigrants wearing track suits" Euro-bar) right near there on Ashland called Player's Club and some greasy-walled Mexican place called El Presidente that draws all the after bar drunks because it's open 24 hours, but their food isn't too great. There's also a Leon's rib joint near there but IMO their ribs suck, at least at that location.

I do not think any condo on Ashland anywhere in the city should sell for 480k.

there are so many condos on Ashland in that area where the developers just stopped working on them, and the residents are stuck doing things like putting in walls and such. There is a building on Ashland and Fullerton that pretty much didn't have a roof installed correctly and the residents on the top floor had to shell out tons of cash so that they could be dry when it rained. I would just be sure to check EVERYTHING out before hand.

I think that the eastern border of logan square is the river. that is pretty solidly the western portion of lincoln park.

2530 N Ashland is technically in the "West DePaul" neighborhood which is in the Lincoln Park community area. Growing up we never called the area around 2530 N. Ashland Lincoln Park.
This is becoming a huge problem now that people and real estate groups are using the community areas to declare a building being in such and such neighborhood...

The eastern border of Logan Square is Western Ave.
2801 N. Oakley is in Avondale.
