Do you mean curb-side parking or a lot? Where did you find this information?

Even if there is unmetered parking available (I highly doubt this), these desirable spaces will almost never be empty as everyone else will be trying to park there as well.

I found this information at parkinganytime.com, and I understand they mean unmetered parking. Do you think, they are wrong?

Well, I doubt the info is up to date, since the last blog post was in 2008. This is important because parking regulations have undergone a seismic shift in the past few months ever since the city sold off the rights to parking meter revenue to a private company. Rates are increasing and metered areas are being expanded. Again, if by chance you find an unmetered, non-permit requiring street in the downtown area, its almost 100% likely that someone else has found it before you, so the odds are high that no vacancies will exist when you drive down there to park.

Thank you very much for your explanation. WE were very happy ,thinking that we "discover" some free streets to park.
