Which one is well-pleasing unto God?

- an atheist who actively works to bring peace and Love among his fellow beings;

- or a Christian who talks about the Bible all day and nothing else.

Blessings to all!
Brian

No one who rejects the Son of God can please God, no matter what they do.

"Without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. ."-Hebrews 11:6

Does it take faith to read the bible all day?, them scribes and pharisees were great at this, they had that much bible knowledge it was coming out their ear holes, and if you was in any doubt that they did, they even wore phylacteries wider so all could see they believed in the bible . Faith ? get out of here.

Bottom line is , what did Jesus tell the bible bashers ?.

Without a doubt, the atheist.

God is interested in the HEART.
Not your label.

There will be many...

"when God? When did we do these things???!" There will be quite a large number of atheists in that group, imo. There are many people (who don't even believe in God) who will recognize God when coming face to face with Him someday, because they will have followed His ways, while many who THINK they will recognize God will not.

Labels don't mean a thing.

God is LOVE.

That is what is great about truth.
It is unchanging.
No matter what label you slap on yourself.
Or what you THINK you believe.

peace,
sparrow

well,no man gets to the father except by the Son..I agree,a no-brainer.the believer is actively witnessing, whereas the atheist cannot get to heaven by good works alone.
God won't condemn good works,it's just that,of course, there's more to it than that.

RESPONSE:

Not everyone would agree with your narrow interpretation of the will of God.

"Nor shall divine providence deny the assistance necessary for salvation to those who, without any fault of theirs, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God, and who, not without grace, strive to lead a good life. " Lumen Gentium

It is enough that God agrees.

RESPONSE:

On the contrary, this is your interpretation of scripture and God's will. Can you evidence any Christian Church condemning non-Christians solely because they are non-Christians?
