So tell me. Among the thousands of religions invented by man, what suddenly makes Christianity the right one? Every devout member of their respective religion swears that their religion is the right one. Why do you think Christianity is right and all other religions are wrong? I find it extremely hard to believe that Christianity is even anything of substance at all, considering how the Old Testament was completely written before Jesus even supposedly existed on Earth.
If you do say that Christianity is the right religion, that means Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and all the other hundreds of religions out there are all WRONG! But Christianity is right?
And what about all the years Jesus was supposed to make a second coming to Earth?
Are you referring to the resurrection of Christ? Research shows that the resurrection of Christ was a story that was twisted and elaborated upon over the decades following the year 80 C.E. This is because it wasn't written in the New Testament until at leat 80 C.E. No one was alive while Jesus was alive to write the story. And The Bible is the one and only book that even writes about the life of Jesus. Christianity didn't even kick off until sometime after 100 C.E.
An empty tomb? A muslim could just as easily that that their religion is the right one because of a prophet who witnessed Allah. Or, the Book of Mormon in the 1800s. The list goes on. It's got to be utter mythology.

But why would tens of thousands of years go by throughout humanity, and then suddenly, a divine being thinks "hmm...we have to do something about this....we have to intervene now" and send Jesus onto Earth, then leave and never hear or see him again. Not a shred of evidence. Seems VERY fishy to me. The unfortunate fact of the matter (or perhaps, fortunate) is that everything in the Bible and everything relating to Christianity could pass for human mythology, easily.
"Beacause the Bible says so," is not an acceptable answer to any of these profound questions. Facts don't cease to exist because they are ignored.
Christianity is the relationship religion. and it is the only religion that the Lord God gives HIS Spirit to live in the Believers and is proof that Jesus rose and Penticost gift of Holy Spirit is true that Jesus died and rose from the dead....... No other religion has God living in the people through HIS Spirit, and the witness of many Christians are proof and supernatuarly cleaning evil ideas and sickness off those people through HIS Spirit...... As believers in Jesus there is only two witness needed to prove a testimony of Christ is need to be true...........
The whole thing about religion is this: it shouldn't be about "picking the right religion". It should be simply about trying to find the truth. The truth of our existence, why we are here, the purpose for everything.
From my vantage point it is obvious there is a creator. From there we branch out and ask who is this creator, why did He create, does He even care about us? Thus religion forms based on the answers to these questions.
Christianity gets a lot right in the truth department IMHO, although traditions have corrupted what Jesus actually taught (Love God, love your neighbor, love your enemy).
And God wouldn't need to say "hmm...we have to do something about this....we have to intervene now". God already knows everything. God intended the OT people to be veiled, then for Jesus to come.
God is revealing things slowly so we will learn something.
If you don't believe there is a creator in the first place, then this probably won't make any sense to you.

Hi nep321,
I am all for healthy skepticism, but the Bible is an assembly of books that specifically attempted to gather genuine works about Jesus essentially making what you said a tautological statement, aka the only books about Jesus are a collection of books about Jesus. It also isn't really true since Josephus made mention of him as well along with a good deal of apocrypha.
