PLEASE forgive my ignorance and lack of comprehension of your post but for my better understanding of what you wrote----do you in fact think Catholics are at least in some way "heretics" (from Christianity) or are the people you are reading that you apparently found edifying in some way are (possible) "heretics" from Catholicism?

i think Matthew Fox is a former priest, but his writings are considered heretical by the RCC. So to answer your questions, yes, and yes, but i would not judge individual Catholics.

FWIW, Matthew Fox is indeed a former Catholic priest and is presently an Anglican/Episcopalian priest. my limited and imprecise understanding is that while some of his views were considered extremely outré' at best by the Catholic Church (though apparently based in part on ideas suggested by various saints and mystics in Church history like St. Francis) he was never formally or officially charged or convicted as a heretic before he decided to leave the Church on his own.

This Creation Spirituality group he is now involved in is quite an interesting one, that is for sure.
