Just wondering what you are all listening to currently. My latest favorite song is God is in Control by Twila Paris. I just saw her in concert last weekend and bought a couple of her CD's and this particular song has really spoken to me. Here are the lyrics:

This is no time for fear
This is a time for faith and determination
Don't lose the vision here
Carried away by emotion
Hold on to all that you hide in your heart
There is one thing that has always been true
It holds the world together
God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control
History marches on
There is a bottom line drawn across the ages
Culture can make its plan
Oh, but the line never changes

No matter how the deception may fly
There is one thing that has always been true
It will be true forever

He has never let you down
Why start to worry now?
He is still the Lord of all we see
And He is still the loving Father
Watching over you and me
watching over you...watching over me..
watching over everything..
watching over you..watching over me..
every little sparrow..every little thing...

I especially love the bolded lines. I'm so thankful that we as Christians can just rest in the fact that God is in control no matter what may be happening in our own lives or in the world around us.

Deb

I don't generally listen to a lot of Christian music that much. I guess it depends on my mood. I certainly don't listen to much of anything new, and wouldn't be able to tell you who is who in the Christian music scene these days. I just stick to older stuff from the 80's and 90's. I like "All We Need" by Out of the Grey, and a lot of stuff by Bryan Duncan and Phil Keaggy, as well as John Michael Talbot and Michael W. Smith. My favorite contemporary Christian song is "A Man You Would Write About", by 4Him.

Newsboys - "He Reigns"
Aiesha Woods - "Big Enough"
Nicole Mullins - "My Redeemer Lives"
Avalon - "Pray"
Jody McBrayer - "Never Alone"
Points of Grace - "Who Am I"

Just to name a few. Now If I can only get all of these on one CD
I guess I need to download and burn all of them.

I just picked up that new Casting Crowns CD and it is amazing. Tracks 3 and 4 are totally amazing but the whole CD is great.

Also, I've been hearing some song on the radio by a band called 'Need To Breath' and I think the song is Signature of Divine or something like that.

it's very good too
