Dale Noyd was a decorated Air Force fighter pilot, who was given a medal for landing a badly damaged, nuclear-armed F-100 Fighter at an English airfield. He also taught at the Air Force Academy. In 1966, after 11 years in the Air Force, he asked that he either be allowed to resign his commission or be classified as a conscientious objector because of his feelings about the Vietnam War.

As I started to read through this thread I started to sense being surrounded by darkness, when this happens I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, this is what happens to me when I sense evil.
It is the total opposite of that feeling that we get of joy from a positive religious/spiritual experience, it feels like all hope is lost, very dark.
You know during WWII many pastors in Germany counciled soldiers that it was right and justified to fight for the Nazis, and these young men went off to war wrapped in a flag carrying a cross.

What lie?...Yehovaw is the same God yesterday, today and tomorrow...The same Yehovaw that commanded Israel to commit Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing in the Promised Land before they took posession of it...The same Yehovaw that transmitted the Law and details of punishment for breaking the Law of Yehovaw...Stoning to death for most of the violations...The same Yehovaw that stated that David was a man after His own heart, the same David that slew Goliath the Philistine, the same David that slew ten thousand men...The same Yehovaw that poured out His wrath on His only begotten Son...The same Yehovaw that took the life of David's child that he had fathered with Bathsheba, this was the same David that had her husband murdered...And still he was a man after Yehovaw's own heart...You are missing all the accounts of Yehovaw in the Old Testament that tells us that He sent His people to war against the enemies of Yehovaw...So, you are stating that Yehovaw is anti-war while the Bible tells us different?...
There is nothing honorable or heroic about killing,especially innocent men, women and children; running into a burning building to save a person is heroic and honorable.
What would you do if a 9 year od child came running out of a house in Iraq and pointed a 9mm at your chest and unloaded it into your chest?...
Your problem is that you are believing the media that these are innocent people and that they are as pure as the driven snow...these are people that consider those not of Islam to be Infidels and to be erradicated...These are people that did in fact kill innocent people in the attacks of 9/11...For no reason at all...But that they were infidels...
Those that Israel fought against by the Power of Yehovaw were those that sought the destruction of Israel and their way of life...to enslave them...And by killing them prevented that...Otherwise they would have over run Israel...Would it have been more honourable to allow the enemy to live and thereby erradicate the Israelites?...Or by killing the enemy saving Israel?...Is it right to band together and beat the stuffings out of a school-yard bully after attempting to reason with him or just allow him to continue terrorizing the school-yard and just cower in the corner hoping that he does not notice you today and come over and beat you up?...
