Finn You need to resign from your position. What is worse is you being a pastor did not know this verse is in the scripture, now you are making pitiful excuses. Yes, we are to love one another. That's what Christians do. They will know we are Christians by our love.
But you made the claim that we were commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves. Jesus never gave that command--as it's the Law. We are not saved by the Law. We love as a result of being Christians. You've got them in the wrong order.
