What would that mean politically, economically and globally?
How does this growth in countries formally closed to Christian expansion prepare for the 2nd Advent?

IMO this means:
Politically - More wars, possible revolutions
Economically - Increase in capitalism and wealth inequality
Globally - I guess increasing religious turmoil

Bravo. A good Marxist always links Judeo-Christianity to an increase in capitalism and the obligatory "dialectical" stepchild of "wealth inequality". Or so goes the theory. Fortuntely, the Chinese are just coming OUT from under that sort of twisted logic and realizing that they've already got the keys to fight "wealth inequality". Namely, self initiative and a work ethic that doesn't rely on entitlements granted them in exchange for forced servitude. All they need to complete the picture is the FREEDOM that their distant cousins in Taiwan and Hong Kong share. And of course, a society innoculated against any rabble rousing malcontents who drum up class warfare to gain power for themselves.
Fortunately, Mao never tried to strip initiative and self-reliance from the citizenry. Rather, the communists enforced a rigid work ethic as an natural offshoot of their own peculiar 5000 year heritage. Going forward, that work ethic will only serve to intensify the success of any free market reforms. In much the same way that the Russians failed to implement a critical part of their own Marxist revoluton - the failure to eradicate Russian Orthodoxy, and the classical institutions unifying the populist Mother Russia culture.
What the explosion of Christianity in China REALLY is, is a catalyst to push foir democratic reforms in the country starting with freedom of speech and religion and personal beliefs. Similar to MLK's movement in the USA.

Honestly "freedom" or "democracy" is kind of outdated and Chinese people are better than that. Never underestimate their intelligence. They are the only nation who managed to survive for 4000 years with the same identity.
